i-DOS from Bosch explained

Too much? Too little? Just right with i-DOS.

Bosch Home Appliances is the number one brand for major domestic appliances in Europe.* With new i-DOS models being added into our Serie 6 and Serie 8 ranges, our key message for 2017 is 'Everything's just right with i-DOS.' The i-DOS campaign for 2017 is a continuation of the 2016 activity, however the focus is now on whatever the load.

Key message "Too much detergent or too little can lead to poor washing results. i-DOS automatically senses exactly the right amount of detergent and water to use, as well as the correct temperature, whatever your load." Prior to this year's TVC campaign and key messaging for i-DOS, we ran online qualitative research to help understand the customer's view of i-DOS and what it means to them. As most of us already know, the majority of consumers (70%) check online for reviews prior to purchasing. This was the case for all of our research groups. Throughout the i-DOS campaign for 2017 we will work through the questions which were highlighted during the research and help customers understand the 'why' and 'how' benefits of i-DOS.

Too much? Using too much detergent - even by a little - leads to significantly higher water and energy consumption when washing. Visible detergent residues can be left on clothing, which can trigger skin irritation and allergies.

Too little? Using too little detergent can lead to poorer washing results. Stains won't be completely removed and could be left on clothes permanently. Insufficient detergent can also result in discolouration and unpleasant odours.

How? All you need to do is fill the large washing machine drawer with 1.3 litres of liquid detergent. You can then wash multiple loads of laundry without needing to top it up. Sensors inside the washing machine detect the type of fabric, load volume in the drum and degree of soiling, and adjust the detergent dose, water and temperature accordingly.

Why? Washing in this way not only helps you to achieve perfect results but also protects the environment. By cutting down additional wash and rinse cycles resulting from using too much detergent, your laundry cycle will be quicker and more efficient, saving energy, time and money. You can save up to 7,062** litres of water per year.
