We are in a very competitive market and we always endeavour to be the most competitive in that market. If however you do see any product at a better price including delivery,installation etc on a like for like basis, please either call or email us so that we have an opportunity to quote for you.
Due to the extremely competitive nature of our industry prices, promotions and special offers are only valid while advertised on our website but you may always Contact Us about a previous promotion and we will do our best to offer you the same or a similar deal.
Delivery and Installation
Local standard delivery and installation is FREE on all items over £300(excluding gas, duel fuel, satellite and some specialist products), if you are unsure whether this applies, please contact us.
Non-Local delivery is free on all chargeable products over £300 within UK mainland (except to Highlands postcodes AB,DD,IV,KW,PA,PH where a surcharge applies). Extra charges will be made for Islands, Northern Ireland and remote areas. Products that are 'free' will be charged at the cost of delivery.
Non-Local Delivery is a doorstep one-person delivery service and for bulkier items e.g. Plasmas and large LCD the driver may require help. If you are unable to help please advise and we will try and accommodate your needs but there may be a charge for this.
For large Home Appliances we can arrange for a 2 man delivery to the room of your choice. Again there may be a charge for this.
Non-Local deliveries on some products can also be arranged for a before 10.00am delivery at a charge of £15 and a Saturday delivery for a £30 charge. Please contact us for availability.
Non-Local delivery times are between one and fourteen working days from clearance of payment depending on the time of day ordered (for next working day delivery please order before 2pm)..
If a product is out of stock with our suppliers or us we will contact you and offer a delivery date an alternative or a refund.
Non-Local Installation can be arranged for some products for an extra charge. We do not install built in appliances and we only install to suitable points. If it is unsafe to install an appliance we will not do so. We only install at the time of delivery. Please check next to the product or contact us direct for prices.
ONLY GAS HOBS AND COOKERS WITH FLAME FAILURE DEVICES FITTED AS STANDARD CAN BE INSTALLED IN MULTIPLE OCCUPANCY DWELLINGS.
We shall not be liable for any costs, losses, charges, expenses or damages caused by delayed or non-delivery of said products.
From 1st July 2007 the UK must comply with the requirements of the European WEEE Directive which requires the collection and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
To meet the requirements of the directive we are a member of the Valpak WEEE Distributor scheme.

We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and all goods must be signed for. For payments made by card not done in our shops we will only deliver to customers registered address.
Damage in transit
Any damaged goods should have the damage marked on the delivery note and you should inform us as soon as is practicable but at the latest within 7 days of delivery.
It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the delivery consignment note and inform us within 7 days of delivery.
You should notify us of any wrong goods supplied within 7 days of delivery.
You should notify us of Non Delivery within 10 days of the expected delivery date or we will not accept liability.
We accept cheques and all major credit and debit cards except Diners Club and American Express. Various types of finance are available please ask for details. Failure to provide correct details will cause a delay in processing your order.
In accordance with the distance selling regulations if you wish to cancel within 7 days you must contact us within 7 days starting the day after delivery in writing Via mail, Email or Fax. The goods should be new, unused and complete with all accessories and with original packaging.
We reserve the right to charge for any missing accessories.
You must send the goods back yourself. (You should make sure that you have sufficient insurance to cover the goods that you are sending)
When a refund has been agreed we will endeavour to refund it as soon as practicable but always within 30 days. The refund can only be made to the original purchaser and in the original fashion e.g. sold on MasterCard refunded on MasterCard.
In all cases card and personal details are sent via our secure server.
Placing an order

Some of the products on our site are “Click and reserve” only normally due to manufacturers stipulations. This means that you MUST come into the store before we can sell the item. For further details please contact us.
Back orders and special orders
If an item is on back order we will keep you updated on the availability and until such times as the product is in stock you may cancel and request a refund. On special orders so long as we are able to cancel the delivery you will also be able to request a refund.
Web site contents accuracy
We work extremely hard to make sure that all content on our web site is up to date and accurate. However we cannot guarantee the accuracy of product specification features and accessories. If a particular feature is important to you please contact us before placing your order. Prices and content are updated daily. In the event that a product is incorrectly priced due to a typing error we shall have the right to refuse or cancel orders whether or not the order has been confirmed. In the event that a charge has already been made to your card it will be immediately credited back to your account.
All our products come with at least a 12 months Manufacturers Guarantee.
Extended warranties for up to 5 years are available to our customers.
If a product is faulty in the first 28 days then we will give you the option of a repair, a replacement or a refund. After this period the normal manufacturer’s terms and conditions will apply.
This guarantee excludes faults caused by misuse, accidents or negligence. Also not covered are consumables (e.g. fuses batteries etc), routine maintenance (Dirty heads etc), re-tuning and cosmetic damage. If an engineer is called out and no manufacturers fault is found the cost of the call will be charged to you. In deciding whether to accept your order we may use the information you have given to us, or we already hold about you, or which we receive from any enquiry we may make with The 3rd Man, to confirm your identity. The 3rd Man will check any details we disclose to them against any data bases (public or private) to which they have access and will keep a record of that check and will also retain this information and may use it in the future to assist other companies with identity verification. This assists us to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions.
In summary we are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect on the site to make shopping at Vaughans as safe as possible and to enhance your overall shopping experience. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.
